Traveling to Azerbaijan is more than traveling to a great golfing destination. This country is filled with things to do on your vacation. Azerbaijan is a country very dependent on their natural resources, oil to be exact. You will see tons of tankers in the harbors and refinery stations along the coasts. Then you drive into the cities such as Baku and you see beauty. The buildings gleam with perfection along the clean streets of the city. There are plenty of cafes and viewpoints throughout the city for you to enjoy. There are several high-end shopping centers, much like ones you would find in London or New York City.
The best time to visit is during the summer months, as this is the busy season. In the off season many shops and restaurants are closed.

Lee Westwood hooked his drive on the 13th hole into a crowd of folks at the Ritz Charlton Golf Course as a part of the Accenture Match Play Championship.
This is maybe not news but where the ball landed is incredible..... The ball somehow made it's way into a woman's shirt as seen in the video below.
What would have been funnier is if the lady would have taken a run towards the green and dropped the ball there or even dropped it in the hole :)
